This is how M.Gulinos herself describes her work:
"I have been involved in crafting for most of my life. Besides my profession as a hairdresser, I am passionate about creating unique products, preferably using recycled materials (with some exceptions). I see potential in almost everything and love to experiment. Unique, non-mass-produced items are more fun. When designing these caps, it was a natural choice since I wear dreads myself. Unable to find what I wanted on the market, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I sew everything in my little corner of our living room using my grandmother's old sewing machine. The fabrics I use are thrifted or donated by clients clearing out their homes."
